Our good friend, Asen James recently had dropped a free album called Henny Float referencing Asen's secret recipe involving Hennessy and vanilla ice cream...hmmmm. The Henny Float became the source of inspiration for the album release on General Particular’s Foco Moto imprint. The Album consists of 18 tracks of “chops”, a re-mix art form well known to lovers of modern music. The tunes were (re)created mostly from classic R & B Tunes but include a few surprises as well. The album, produced by James and Executive Produced by Rich Williams, seeks to fill a gap in instrumental hip hop projects. Asen is a Brooklyn-based musician, music producer, and writer. Asen has been known as a producer under the moniker, Ray Beta, lending his production skills for artist who has been labeled "True School", among them X-Clan and YZ.In recent years Asen has written theme music for Grey Publishing, the company of legendary Marvel and DC comics artist, Grey. He has also scored the films, No Problema, by writer, director Rich Williams and Moral Panic by Documentarian Akintola Hanif. Check the heat
