PLEDGE and see more info HERE!!!!!

Hello Beautiful People! First off, I'd like to thank EVERYONE who has been so supportive and given us so much love since the beginning. We are sending love to our people from our city of Minneapolis/St Paul and to our new home in Brooklyn, and everyone worldwide! Besos!

Now, we are excited to share more and more big news of changes coming on our horizon.
Since our release of our debut EP, Hiding Blind in 2008, we have been working hard on new and more challenging music. Digging deeper into our souls and capabilities, we have been grinding away, but have been experiencing many road blocks as Independent artists. Without a label supporting you, all fees must come out of pocket, and rent and raising a child in NY can be tough as is! Wowzers. Anyways...we have finally reached the home stretch and we have not only 1, but 2 amazing projects to share with our fans, supporters and the world! READ MORE on my KICKSTARTER PAGE!

2 REMIX EP's!

First off, I'm excited to share this tasty treat in the form of a FREE EP! FADE, was originally released on my EP Hiding Blind, and I finally get to drop the remixes! Its a really eclectic mix with sound and beats coming from Venezuela, Milwaukee, Philly, Maryland and of course the NYC. Remixes by Sonotech, J-Todd, BUSY, myself and a dope collab by Zaphyrn and Basil (aka Sir Froderick). Its FREE, so just grab it. HERE!

Secondly, we dropped C Train as a single a while back, and now have new remixes by Dj Dhundee (Sugarcuts) and Matt Shadetek (Dutty Artz), so we just put in out as an EP on Bagpak Music. Artwork by our very own Lichiban. Grab it HERE:

This eclectic remix EP blends the sounds of dubstep, dancehall and drum n bass, with the sexy-sultry-soul vocals of Sarah White, to make a fusion match-made for the dancefloor. As a Minneapolis native, this Brooklyn transplant, cries out through flo and song expressing the effects of life on the hustle and the grind, and the challenge of keeping a balance. 'C Train' is a sweet collaboration of time, space, passion and raw beats. The original is produced by her partner Dj Don Cuco (Cultura Love), and then given a completely new life when remixed by 3 masters of sound, Dj Dhundee (Sugarcuts), Matt Shadetek (Dutty Artz) and Heinrich Zwahlen (Basscut). Definatley one to get your heads nodding, mind expanding and hips grinding..

VONY x REA present :: 'Kids Dream In Color' Spring Workshop x Lichiban

The organization I've been involved with as a teaching artist/ art mentor Voices of New York (VONY) recently teamed up with a New York-based architectural design firm Real Estate Arts (REA) to hold a week long art workshop called Kids Dream In Color (KDIC). Ten very talented and gifted kids were chosen to participate in a one of a kind art immersion where they had to recreate the Empire State Building using common, eco-friendly art materials. The challenge was to re-envision the building in the year 2400 as a green, earth-friendly building, a futuristic symbol of a new Empire State of Mind.

Romeo and Miles sharing a laugh on the way to the field trip to the Empire State Building

The kids drew their inspiration from this iconic building. The amazing art deco interior design of the Empire State (1st row). KDIC kids Saya, Ciara and Jalen enjoying the trip to the Empire State (2nd row). Aric (videographer) and Sue (VONY founder) documents every kid's artworks while Lori (right) from REA (3rd row) oversees Nathaniel's work. REA staff took some time off to mentor each kid individually(4th row).

We used a 10 minutes visualization exercise using my work, DORJE as a visual guide to time & space travel to the galaxy where DORJE would serve as an imaginary guide to introduce the kids to alternative ways of imagining a green future.

(from left to right) Quest, Ciara, Saya, and Miles together with the other KDIC participants took a break from the workshop and walked around the block & checked out a local gallery.

Kecia finishes her version of the building (top left). REA staff focuses on mentoring the kids to finish up their projects (top right and lower left). The VONY team took a break and went outside with the kids to get some fresh air (lower right).

The passion of these kids for the arts illuminated every "building" they've created. The workshop ended with a very successful exhibition of the kids' artworks. Everyone at attendance in the exhibit- the mentors, parents, and especially the kids-, couldn't be more proud of all the beautiful artworks created through all their hard work.

*Voices Of New York has more incoming art workshops and projects, e-mail voicesofnewyork(at)gmail.com for more details.

ILLUSTRATION FOR PETER HADAR'S new single FULL TIME LOVER

The newest of my AURAL VISION cover art series.

My cover illustration for PETER HADAR's sexy new single FULL TIME LOVER just dropped! I'm already a fan of Peter, so I was happy when he reached out to me with his concept for the cover, which involved a clock and a nude forming the clock's arms. This was my second try at it.

Check me out on the intro track, Born Free and also Walk Away! Keep your ears ready for a new project with M.anifest and Myself, under the name S & M.. coming soon...

From M.anifest:

I'm happy to liberate the Full Album/Mixtape, "The Birds And The Beats," for free today Nov 20, which happens to be my born day as well. Kindly do share with your readers.

Being from the mother of all motherlands, I thought this would  be a useful opportunity to promote a cause as well: "Young Entrepreneurs Africa," (YE,A) - a nonprofit giving tools and skills for African Youth to get theirs the entrepreneurship route and not have to rely on charity. The complete rhyme and reason of it all is at http://manifestmc.com

I work with some incredible musicians who dedicated massive amounts of time and talent to make this happen so I couldn't take full credit for this release. The download includes liner noteswhich is a first for free digital releases as far as I know. We give thanks.
