Check it out...it's the Fifth Annual LOVING DAY party this coming Sunday. In the scale of global human history, the period and ambient cultural norms regarding interracial romance that preceded the 1967 Court decision are pretty shameful, and even though we have come a long way, looking at the state of the world today, I believe that the message of love that transcends artificial boundaries is and will always be relevant. People come up with different reasons and ways to divide themselves up into competing groups, and hopefully those who bring a message of unity won't be silenced again and again. In the spirit of the modern day prophets, Martin Luther King, Gandhi, Malcolm X, John Lennon, Stevie Wonder (thank God he is alive), I celebrate love every day.
In this day and age of digital storage and virtual memory, some of us are still investing into tangible storehouses of music. If you love the whole package ---CDs and records with their cover art---then this is the time to check out the blowout sale at the ARChive of Contemporary Music.NEXT SALE JUNE 7 - 15
